As you walk toward the main stage you hear fans chanting “I want more”. This chant is followed by another chant from the people “Body.” The chant is infectious; you join in without knowing what’s going on. As the show ends, you frantically ask around about the artists who were on stage. This is how most people are introduced to New Jersey’s newest sensation Demic & Bawsten. The group began in Orlando at a music video shoot, then blossomed into the greatest live independent hip hop show money can book.

Demic & Bawsten are currently working on their debut album which is a collection of their best recorded music. The first single off the album is “Jumpin” a high energy, upbeat hip hop track which tells about partying as hip hop’s royalty. The track became popular through grassroots promotions in New Brunswick, NJ during the summer of 2008. Demic & Bawsten pride themselves in being tastemakers in their industry. Trailblazers that embark on innovative ways to promote, market, and create the music.

Within one year from inception the group has achieved a countless amount of success. They have toured nationally as a headlining act on the most reputable car show series in the Import industry. The group performed live for international news cameras mid January during the Barack Obama Inauguration Weekend. The group also opened doors for black musicians, when they became the first ever hip hop act to perform on the Monster Jam Tour in 2009. Demic & Bawsten have been featured on major publication sites from Billboard.com to Myspace and everything in between.

New Jersey has had a rich history of musicians from Frank Sinatra and Bruce Springstein to Redman and Lauryn Hill. Now that the torch has passed to Demic & Bawsten we can all rest assured that the next generation of music is in good hands.
