Vixen Note: Team Vixen would like to present to you our FIRST feature outside of our musical selections.
We know by now you’re probably wondering “What is Creative Hysteria?”, “Who Are They?” and “What Do They Do Exactly?”. With this post, we hope to answer all of your questions and then some.
With that being said, Team Vixen is proud to present Mr. Rob Relosa – the Man behind Creative Hysteria, LLC
Who is Rob Relosa?
Rob Relosa grew up in Fort Washington, MD. At an early age, Rob had a great appreciation for art while paying more attention to the artwork rather than the storyline of the cartoons and comic books he enjoyed. As he grew older, he started to recognize and appreciate art in all of his surroundings, from the natural landscapes to the placement of the words and logo on a soda can. As early as the 7th grade he began to be recognized as “most artistic” of his class in middle school and this support from his peers would continue through high school. It was only natural he would developed a passion for graphic design and photography. Rob obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Arts from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a concentration of Graphic Design in 2001.
In his photography, Rob is set on capturing fleeting moments and turning them into lasting memories with an artistic flair Simple moments that you experience when you are walking by and see a father teaching his son to ride a bike or a woman walking and the wind blows her hair and make you think, ‘now that would make an excellent photo!’. And he uses this approach in his photography, whether it is for a private session or for an event. There are times when Rob’s artistry becomes more complex after seeing the photos he takes and instantly gets a vision that surpasses the elements that were digitally captured. During these times, the graphic designer within him takes over and works to translate this vision onto the photos and produces a visually stimulating end product.
Along with partner Edwin “Kalik” Kaliku, Rob started the graphic design company entitled Creative Hysteria, LLC in 2003. Donning Creative Hysteria’s ‘CH’ logo, Rob’s work has recently begun to be seen all over social networking sites, such as facebook.com and myspace.com. He has covered events for local celebrities, such as comedian Chris the Crowd Pleaser and rising hip hop artists ICEBLOC. Recently becoming more active in the DMV fashion community, Rob has had the pleasure of working with some of the area’s very talented organizations, such as local designers Jazzy Couture and Renee France Designs, make-up artists Face4Ward and Shell’d Make Up Artistry, and MiChek Boutique to name a few. Rob has also had the pleasure of working with various DMV area models and enjoys working with serious models whom are just breaking into the industry and looking to make a strong start.
What is Creative Hysteria?
Creative Hysteria, LLC is an up and coming multimedia company that specializes in graphic design, photography, digital imagery, and marketing management. What makes Creative Hysteria unique is that it fuses graphic design elements with photography in ways that are not used commonly used by other companies in order to effectively bring your ideas to light. Our overall focus is to be the catalyst to increase the profile of the DC Metro area within the fashion and entertainment industry. The company is made of a team of talented individuals that have branded the concept, “Visually Communicating Your Ideas”.
Where did the name Creative Hysteria come from?
Have you ever had a good idea or concept and you can clearly visualize it in your mind, but when you try to bring it to fruition by sharing it with others, you just can’t seem to explain it clearly enough to share this vision? Well that’s exactly what we encountered when we worked with some of our first clients. We found in many cases that the reason why it was so difficult for our clients to clearly explain their vision to us was because they were so excited and emotionally charged about their idea, which left their thoughts in a state of hysteria. The task we set out to accomplish for our clients is to find a way to bring order to this chaos by way of creative thinking and to convert the clients’ ideas into something tangible. Thus Creative Hysteria, LLC was born.
How does someone get in contact with you to book a shoot?
You can contact the Creative Hysteria team at www.creativehysteria.com. We can also be found on facebook.com, myspace.com, modelcoast.com, and modelmayhem.com. Please feel free to review some our photos, designs, and creative creations at each website. While perusing the websites, you will find our contact information, which includes both email and phone number, for consultations and for booking sessions.
What are you looking to accomplish in the upcoming year?
In 2010, you can expect big things from Creative Hysteria. Our main goal this year is to gain more recognition in the DC metro area. We plan to have our work, more specifically, our events, photos, and graphic designs, featured in various publications. We plan to push ourselves conceptually, while working with familiar make-up artists and models, on fresh and edgy themed shoots in 2010, so that we can all benefit and grow stronger together as DMV artists.
What words of advice do you have for future photographers?
Respect the craft for what it is because photography, like all other art forms, is what you make of it. Become a photographer because you love it – make it a career and do not treat it as a job. Never feel threatened by other photographers; think of them more as colleagues, not competition. Use them as a resource for learning and growing, this will help you enhance your craft artistically and professionally. Of course, invest in a good camera. If you don’t invest in yourself and your craft, how can you expect anyone else to? Understand that photography/art is difficult and it will take time to develop and it is always better to have quality over quantity. And always do research on your prospects, your craft, and the trends within the industry.
Any final words for your supporters?
Thank you for your continued support and feedback. I strive to inspire and impress you with my work by creating a quality experience and a stimulating end product. To those I have worked with in the past and for those I will work with in the future, THANK YOU for all that you do. I have learned as much from you as you have learned from me and it has been a pleasure working with each of you.
