So… all you need is a sponsor to “buy, buy, buy“? Is this like “No Scrubs” 2010? Will this become a new anthem for ladies in the club?

I can’t lie. Teairra looks adorable in the video. Its great to see her back and doing her own thing. Especially, after not seeing her on the screen lately. The song isn’t a bad song, but its not a song you’ll catch me singing about.

FIRST OF ALL — Neither of them can pronounce Gabourey’s name. I don’t understand how you can say something so ignorant out of their mouths but NOT pronounce the names right. What sense does that make?

I mean, yea I get it “shock jock” or whatever title they go by, its their JOB to provoke thoughts and go against popular opinion when necessary. But, seriously, how much more rude could you be?

I can go on and on about this Howard Stern loser and his HOTTMESSTROCITY “opinions”, but I am getting sick to my stomach just listening to him.

Co-Headliners Black Milk and Black Sheep Are Joined by Diamond District, One Be Lo, Donwill, Finale, Crown Royale, Bisco Smith, and More for March 20 Showcase

Premier lifestyle and entertainment marketing firm, Audible Treats, is pleased to announce their first Official SXSW 2010 Showcase. The showcase, which will take place at The Independent on Saturday, March 20th, will feature a unique mix of legendary, established, and rising hip-hop acts, including co-headliners Black Milk and Black Sheep, along with Donwill and Von Pea of Tanya Morgan, One Be Lo, Diamond District, Finale, Crown Royale, Bisco Smith, League510, iLL-Literacy, and TRUTHLiVE. Amp Live of Zion I will serve as the official DJ for the evening.

Following the overwhelming success of Audible Treats’ 2009 CMJ showcase, an event featuring a number of outstanding performances including Souls Of Mischief’s lone east coast appearance for the year, this first official SXSW showcase continues to build on Audible Treats foundation as a leader in digital marketing and online and print publicity, while displaying the immense talents of the artists represented by the company. “Were looking forward to bursting onto the SX scene with a stellar line-up for our first official showcase,” says Audible Treats President and Co-Founder, Michelle McDevitt. D’Angelo Got Caught Doin’ WHAT?!

Say it ain’t so… According to Mediatakeout.com (whose reports must usually be taken with a grain of salt…) our beloved – albeit, troubled – DMV crooner D’Angelo has recently found himself in quite the predicament… allegedly.

Here’s how they are reporting it…

MediaTakeOut.com learned that on Friday night, R&B singer D’Angelo was arrested for trying to solicit a prostitute.

Police set up a sting operation with a police woman posing as a prostitute, and D’Angelo went for the bait. According to police, D’Angelo offered the officer $40 for sex.

But here’s where the story gets INTERESTING!!! D’Angelo tried to pick up the woman in the WEST VILLAGE – a neighborhood in New York known for having TRANNEY PROSTITUTES. In fact, the West Village is so WELL KNOWN for it’s tranney’s (especially Black ones) that gay men from AROUND THE WORLD come there to get it in.

Now the question, was D’Angelo looking for a dude?????

These two are SICK. I am not a Lil Wayne groupie or anything, but him pairing up with an artist like Eminem is DOPE. I have always been a fan of both of them separately. *cough* I like Eminem more though.

Nivea: “Love Hurts“

Love does definitely hurt. I am pleased to see her keeping that momentum up as an Artist. I like Nivea personally, and I can’t wait to see what her latest project will sound like. Glad to see Nivea back.

Young Money (Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Tyga) : Roger That

I love the theme of the video. The whole comic book / cartoon-ish theme is very out the box. Did I think that this would be the video? Nope. Am I pleasantly surprised? Yep. Is Nicki Minaj KILLIN me with those facial expressions of hers? Absolutely.

Congrats to Christina Milian and The Dream. Word is they welcomed baby Violet on Feb 26th. I know The Dream can’t wait to spoil his little princess. I don’t know about you but her middle name don’t even matter. I just want to know what she looks like. I’m curious.

Fly Gypsy Releases 1st Video From FG*XL:remixtape

After receiving an enthusiastic response from DJs to its “I Wanna Rock” Brooklyn remix, Fly Gypsy have decided to release an accompanying video for the song. A tour date in New York offered the perfect opportunity to shoot the video. Combining electrifying concert footage with shots that capture the essence of Brooklyn, from its brownstones to the Juniors restaurant, to, most importantly, its people, the duo created the perfect visual for a song that could well become the next Brooklyn anthem.

“I was born in Jamaica, but spent my formative years in Brooklyn,” says the group’s emcee Kom. “The Snoop track had both the sexiness and raw drive to it that immediately made me think of Brooklyn, with its gritty character and beautiful sisters.” As with other songs on this mixtape, Fly Gypsy’s producer Alexei added his own touches to the track with meandering keys, punchy lead, and a more aggressive beat. “I love the original, but we had to make it ours. So I gave the track more drive and spiced it up with some melodic elements. So now it’s more like Lil Jon meets A Tribe Called Quest!”

Oddisee – The Stand Interview

Oddisee, of the celebrated group Diamond District, gives The Stand (Twitter.com/StandOnDemand) insight into the many facets of his life in interview. As an integral part of Oddisee’s life, the rapper talks about the double meaning of his name setting the stage for his rhyming career from a young age and how his hometown of D.C. has shaped his music – hardcore hip-hop without the violence. Little Brother – “Curtain Call”

Critically acclaimed rap duo Little Brother are back and ready to takeover speakers for the final time together with their new album, LeftBack. Dropping on April 20th via Hall of Justus, LeftBack will mark the end of an illustrious career by partners in rhyme Phonte and Rapper Big Pooh. The album features production from the likes of Khyrsis, Denaun Porter, J.Bizness and guest vocals from Torae, Truck North, Jozeemo, Chaundon, Median, and more. The send-off for the North Carolina hip-hop heavyweights begins with the release of “Curtain Call,” the poetically titled first single from LeftBack. Rapper Big Pooh sets the tone for the album by declaring that “this is it, the last monologue / last act in the play, you could say the epilogue.” A booming synth line, driving bass and staccato drum pattern intertwine to provide the backdrop for the occasion, while Phonte drives home the album’s message by rapping “You know we don’t quit / but when it’s curtain call then that’s all you gonna get.” The song “basically sums up the history of our career as Little Brother,” says the duo. “This is the last first single you will hear from Little Brother.”
