Vixen:Who is Tese Fever?

Tese Fever: Tese Fever raps, writes, and looks good. And in her free time, she processes Retirement Pensions. Lol.

V: What is your favorite project and why?

TF: My favorite project of mine hasn’t yet been completed- it’s the ‘Soul Danger Series’ I’m recording with Mina Leon. It’s so grand because it’s gritty rhymes mixed with soulful singing. And I’m over here in the States and Mina’s in Japan…yet, we’re making magic happen. The project is excellent so far.

V: Name three artists that you havent worked with that you would love to in the future and why?

TF: As far as Independent or Underground artists, I’m going to have to go with Gods’Illa, LA from Brooklyn NY, and Allison Carney. All three artists/groups are phenomenal. They never disappoint me anytime they drop a project.

V:  What advice would you give any female rappers looking to enter the underground scene?

TF: The best advice I could give is to push, push, push yourself and your product. Being an underground artist, it’s not always easy reaching peoples ears. We generally don’t have the commercial backing and fan-base that’d call for free promotion. We have to motivate ourselves to push harder to be heard. And to me, that’s key.

V: If I wasn’t an artist I would be _____________ because…

TF: I’d be a writer of some sorts. I write music now, but it’s generally R&B if not Hip-Hop. But writing has always fascinated me and was my way to escape the troubles I dealt with growing up. Hell, I’d even do journalism or free lance writing.

V: What artists are in your top ten right now?

TF: Well Jay-Z is number one of course. Lol. I’ve always been a huge Jennifer Hudson fan…Mary J. Blige and Alicia Keys never cease to amaze me either. I’m a big R&B fan as you can tell…as far as new artists, that guy Miguel is pretty dope too!

V: Word is, youre a sneaker pimp. How many sneakers DO you own?

TF: LOL … Haha! At my house I have a little over 400 pairs. From vintage to limited edition to general release kicks. I have them all! Lol.

V: Who is your celebrity crush?

TF: Good question…I’ve never really thought about that, but Bradley Cooper is gorgeous! And I’m a fan of all of his movies.

V:  If you could be signed to a major label – which one would you choose and why?

TF: I’d say Roc Nation. Just because I’m a Jay-Z fan… I mean, what person do you know wouldn’t want Jay as their boss? That guy’s a genius!

V: Five years from now, Tese Fever will be_______. I dunno…somewhere doing weird shit. ‘Cause that’s what I do now. Lol.

V: Bonus Question: Out of all the seven deadly sins – which one are you?

TF: Oh Gosh…lol…If I had to choose one I guess “Pride” maybe. I don’t know. I really wouldn’t want to be any of them. I try my best to avoid those things.
