This show was NOT to be missed – here’s why…
For starters, I was pleasantly surprised by the opening act Just’Us (signed to Mary J. Blige’s Matriarch Entertainment Label). These ladies hail from the DMV area and showed an unbelievable amount of confidence. Anyone in music knows that opening up with En-Vogue classics such as Who’s Loving You, Dont Let Go (love) and Hold On could be the ultimate career suicide move. But not for these ladies – they combined great energy and harmonization skills like seasoned professionals. Through their set – Just’Us gave us a taste of what to expect from them in the future. I personally loved the “Worth A Damn” single. That song had beautiful lyrics, not to mentioned showcased their individual vocal abilities. Did I mention they gave us some sassy choreography as well? Oh yes, these young ladies definitely put on quite the entertaining set. Every single Just’Us gave had their audience attentively wanting more…
Speaking of more – here is a preview of one of their singles “When Should I Call”:
